Accounting Clerk, Accounts Receivable - DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Seattle Airport

The Doubletree Seattle Airport for its next Accountant Clerk to join their finance team! This is the perfect opportunity for an accounting professional that wants to learn and grow within the hospitality industry!

Hourly Rate: $26.50

Shift Pattern: Typical shift Monday-Friday during business hours but may be occasional weekends for month end purposes

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualities:

• 1 years accounting experience, Accounts Receivable experience preferred
• Strong systems and Excel experience

What will I be doing?

The Analyst/Clerk will participate in the development and processes of accurate reports and account management. In addition to performance, this position may be required to perform a combination of the following supportive functions, with the percentage of time performing each function to be solely determined by the supervisor based upon the requirements of the company.

• Perform applicable Accounts Receivable functions
• Collaborate with SSCs and service provider, as well as partner with SSC to resolve disputes
• Participate in the production of monthly accounts as directed
• Complete month-end responsibilities
• Execute internal control over revenues, expenses, assets, and liabilities of the hotel
• Participate in special projects, team training and development
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned or required
• Reports results to others and aids others to understand financial matters
• Develops and maintains constructive and cooperative working relationships with other finance departments and corporate departments they support
• Collaborates with manager to establish specific goals and plans to prioritize, organize and accomplish project/department goals
• Attends staff meetings pertinent to work assignments
• Researches and responds to information requests from internal departments and management
• Act in accordance with fire, health and safety regulations on property and follow the correct procedures when required
  
  
  

What are we looking for?

• Previous experience in accounting in the same or similar role preferred
• Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel
