About Us:
At Doug Newborn Law Firm, we guide clients through challenging personal injury cases with empathy and understanding. Our growing team provides compassionate legal support, ensuring clients feel valued throughout their journey. We prioritize the well-being of our team in a family-oriented workplace. As we grow, we seek a dedicated and highly motivated personal injury attorney who shares our passion for advocating for those who have suffered injuries through no fault of their own. Join us in making a positive difference in our clients' lives.
The Role:
You will collaborate with a dynamic team of personal injury attorneys and paralegals dedicated to securing justice for our clients. Under the guidance of a Managing Litigation Attorney, you will be equipped to meet all pre-litigation and litigation deadlines specific to personal injury cases and will have access to a knowledgeable litigation paralegal who understands the nuances of this field. While you will receive support, you are expected to draft your own pre-litigation documents and litigation pleadings related to personal injury claims and manage documents effectively. The Managing Litigation Attorney and paralegal will assist you in this process but will not take over your responsibilities, ensuring you remain at the forefront of advocating for our clients’ rights and interests.
About You:
- You are an “A” player: you work diligently, you advocate forcefully, you are committed to winning, you are committed to your clients, you are committed to our Team.
- Experienced or Aspiring Personal Injury Attorney: You hold an Arizona bar license and have experience — or are willing to gain experience — in Personal Injury.
- Client Advocate: You excel in communication, ensuring clients are regularly updated and their concerns are addressed, reducing their stress during this difficult time in their lives.
- Detail-Oriented: Your attention to detail is matched by your ability to handle emergency legal situations and quickly adapt to changing pre-litigation and litigation deadlines.
- Tech-Savvy: You embrace legal technology to enhance efficiency and client service.
- Long-Term Career Seeker: You’re looking for a stable, long-term opportunity where you can grow and make a significant impact.
Requirements
- Manage the entire lifecycle of personal injury case handling, from intake, to drafting and reviewing documents and pleadings specific to the injury claim, to appearing at court hearings, depositions, etc. on behalf of injured clients.
- Conduct thorough discovery and depositions tailored to personal injury cases, gathering crucial evidence and testimony that sets up the case for success.
- Maintain proactive and clear communication with clients throughout the personal injury process, ensuring they are informed and supported from the start of their case to its resolution.
Qualifications:
- Required: Licensed (and in good standing) to practice law in Arizona.
- Required: proficient in Microsoft Office and adaptable to new technology.
- Desired: Experience in personal injury litigation, comfortable with any type of related legal proceedings, and familiarity with injury claims management.
Benefits
- Compensation & Bonus: Salary commensurate with experience but is expected to start at $85,000 DOE with benefits. $10,000 Signing Bonus to be paid at end of 30 ($2,500), 60 ($2,500), and 90 ($5,000) days.
- Supportive Benefits: Health insurance stipend equivalent to $6,500/year, no billable hour minimum, and immediate accrual of paid time off, plus additional time off around major holidays.
- Professional Growth: Reimbursement for CLE courses, paid bar dues, and malpractice insurance.
