Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Seafood Associate to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing, packaging, and displaying a variety of seafood products while ensuring the highest standards of food safety and customer service. The ideal candidate will have experience in the food industry, particularly in seafood handling and preparation, and possess strong knife skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cut seafood products according to specifications and customer requests.
• Ensure all seafood is displayed attractively in the case while maintaining freshness.
• Package seafood items for sale, ensuring proper labeling and compliance with food safety regulations.
• Provide exceptional customer service by assisting customers with their seafood selections and answering any questions they may have.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the seafood department, including equipment and work areas.
• Follow all food safety guidelines to ensure the highest quality of products is served to customers.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient operation of the department.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a restaurant or food production environment preferred.
• Strong knife skills and knowledge of meat cutting techniques are essential.
• Familiarity with food handling practices and food safety regulations is required.
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with customers.
• A passion for the culinary arts and a keen interest in seafood products is a plus.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
