Job Summary:
Doug Smith Mitsubishi, a leading automotive dealership in American Fork, Utah, is seeking a skilled and experienced Automotive Service Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for performing maintenance and repairs on a variety of Mitsubishi and other vehicles. This is a full-time, flat rate position and you'll need to supply your own tools. We offer competitive compensation and benefits. Compensation & Benefits:
This position offers a flat rate pay structure, with an hourly rate ranging from $25.50 to $47.50 per hour. You will be paid on a semi-monthly basis. We pay 115% of warranty labor and pay for our video inspections as well. We also have a Service Manager that has spent over 17 years as a technician. In addition, we offer a comprehensive benefits package including health and dental insurance, paid time off, retirement savings plan, and employee discounts on vehicle purchases and services, as well as profit sharing and free online college through Strayer University.
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance and general repairs on Mitsubishi and other vehicles, including oil changes, tire rotations, brake replacements, and engine diagnostics.
- Diagnose and accurately repair mechanical and electrical issues.
- Communicate with service advisors and other team members to ensure proper diagnosis and efficient completion of repairs.
- Document all repair work accurately and thoroughly and keep abreast of any changes or updates in Mitsubishi vehicles and procedures.
- Uphold dealership and manufacturer standards for quality and timeliness of repairs, as well as providing exceptional customer service.
Requirements:

5 years of prior experience as an automotive technician or mechanic.

Supply your own tools (Manufacture specialty tools are supplied)

Utah County Emissions is suggested, but can be earned while you are here.

Strong technical and problem-solving skills with a passion for delivering high-quality workmanship.

ASE certification and/or Subaru-specific training is a plus.

Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.

Willingness to constantly learn and adapt to changes in technology and procedures.

Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
