Job Title: Bread Baker/Pastry Chef
Location: Tyler, Texas
Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Bread Baker/Pastry Chef with expertise in high-volume production of artisanal breads and pastries. This full-time role is ideal for a professional with a culinary degree and a minimum of 5 years of baking experience, who excels in bread-making, quality control, and inventory management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Production baking, including sourdoughs, baguettes, ciabatta, rolls, croissants, danishes, and other laminated dough products.
- Manage inventory levels and coordinate with management to ensure efficient production.
- Oversee quality control to maintain consistency in taste, texture, and presentation.
- Maintain and refine sourdough starters and fermentation processes.
- Develop and execute production schedules to meet daily output goals.
- Collaborate on new recipes, seasonal items, and production improvements.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and food-safe workspace.
- Train and mentor staff in bread and pastry production techniques.
Qualifications:
- Culinary degree or equivalent professional experience in baking/pastry arts.
- Minimum 5 years of professional baking experience, with a focus on artisanal bread and laminated doughs.
- Expertise in sourdough and fermentation techniques.
- Proven experience with high-volume production and inventory management.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations.
Schedule:
- Full-time, Monday through Friday. Weekends and holidays off.

- Competitive hourly rate: starting at $18/hour, based on experience with room to grow.

Physical Requirements:
