The Quality Control / Assurance Specialist ensures compliance with FDA, USDA, and other regulatory standards within a central kitchen environment. This role involves conducting audits, monitoring production processes, and implementing quality assurance measures to ensure safe and high-quality food production. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with regulatory audits and a deep understanding of food safety standards. Key Responsibilities : Prepare for and coordinate FDA, USDA, and other third-party audits, ensuring all processes and documentation meet compliance requirements. Act as the main point of contact during audits, providing required documentation and facilitating site inspections. Inspect raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods for compliance with quality specifications. Maintain detailed records of inspections, tests, and corrective actions. Prepare quality reports for management and regulatory compliance purposes. Train staff on quality control standards, food safety practices, and proper handling techniques. Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal food safety regulations. Collaborate with production, procurement, and maintenance teams to address quality and compliance concerns. Required Skills / Abilities : Bachelor's degree in Food Science, or a related field preferred. Minimum of 2-3 years in food quality control, food production, or related field. Experience managing FDA and USDA audits is essential. Exceptional ability to identify quality deviations and safety risks. Clear verbal and written communication for reporting and training purposes.
