As a restaurant host, you play a crucial role in ensuring a positive experience for guests from the moment they arrive until they leave. Here's an overview of the responsibilities and requirements typically associated with the role:

$18.00 per hour
Responsibilities:
Customer Service & Order Management
- Greet customers warmly and provide excellent customer service.
- Take customer orders accurately and process transactions efficiently.
- Accept and fulfill to-go and third-party delivery orders.
- Answer phone calls, assist customers with inquiries, and take phone orders.
- Communicate any current or future operational challenges with the GM
Operational Responsibilities
- Input food orders correctly into the POS system.
- Communicate with the pizza cook to ensure orders are prioritized correctly.
- Provide direction to the pizza cook based on order volume and product availability.
- Heat pizza slices by placing them in the oven and removing them when properly cooked.
- Ensure pizzas are heated and cooked properly before serving.
- Monitor inventory levels and place food orders for the next day when working alone.
- Maintain stock of essential items (pizza boxes, napkins, utensils, condiments, etc.).
- Verify that there is enough product to fulfill all orders throughout the shift.
End-of-Shift Duties
- Fill out the End-of-Shift Recap detailing sales, inventory updates, and any issues.
- Complete the Waste Log for any unsellable or discarded product.
- Clean and restock the cashier station and prep stations (wipe down, wash all cooking utensils, sweep and mop, complete closing checklist)
General Responsibilities
- Uphold food safety and sanitation standards.
- Assist in basic prep work (e.g., slicing toppings, portioning dough, wiping down and reasoning pizza pans).
- Help maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Work efficiently during rush periods while maintaining high service standards
- Follow all company policies and procedures related to food handling and workplace conduct.
- Ensure every customer leaves happy!!
Requirements:
Excellent Communication Skills: Strong verbal communication skills are essential for effectively interacting with guests and colleagues.
Customer-Oriented Attitude: A customer-centric approach and a genuine desire to provide exceptional service are vital.
Organizational Skills: Ability to multitask, prioritize, and stay organized in a fast-paced environment.
Flexibility: Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays (food hall is closed on Sundays)
Previous Experience: While not always required, previous experience in a customer service or hospitality role is often preferred.
Familiarity with Reservation Systems: Basic knowledge of reservation management systems or the ability to quickly learn and adapt to them.
Food Safety Knowledge: Basic understanding of food safety practices and procedures is beneficial, particularly if assisting with handling payments or interacting with food items.
