Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced HR Coordinator to join our team and oversee various human resources functions, ensuring compliance with company policies and labor laws. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HR operations, including recruitment, employee relations, benefits administration, payroll and compliance. This role requires excellent verbal and written communication (English and Spanish) and problem-solving skills to support our employees and maintain a positive workplace culture.

Key Responsibilities:
- Administer day-to-day HR operations, including employee records management, HR policies, and compliance with labor laws.
- Support the full-cycle recruitment process, including sourcing, interviewing, and onboarding new employees.
- Serve as a point of contact for employee relations, addressing concerns, resolving conflicts, and promoting a positive work environment.
- Oversee benefits administration, ensuring employees understand their benefits and assisting with enrollments and claims.
- Assist in performance management processes, including performance reviews and employee development programs.
- Ensure company compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
- Maintain HRIS and employee records with accuracy and confidentiality.
- Support training and development initiatives to enhance employee engagement and productivity.
- Assist with payroll processing and timekeeping to ensure accurate and timely compensation.
- Contribute to HR projects, employee engagement programs, and company culture enhancement.
- Travel is required between locations throughout Chicago and suburb locations. Will be adding Schererville, Indiana and Naperville location soon.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
- 2 years of experience as an HR Coordinator or in a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of employment laws, HR best practices, and labor regulations.
- Experience with recruitment, employee relations, and benefits administration.
- Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
- Experience with assisting in implementing training and development platforms.
- Experience with HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
- Excellent written and verbal communication in English and Spanish REQUIRED.
- Travel is required so reliable transportation is a must
- HR certification (PHR, SHRM-CP) is a plus.
Working Conditions:
- Full-time, daytime hours with weekend availability.
- Onsite role. No remote work.
- Travel is required between locations and different HR events
Physical Requirements:
- Sitting for extended periods of time - working at a desk and using a computer for emails, reports and HR software
- Occasionally standing and walking - May be needed for meeting, training sessions, or conducting workplace investigations.
- Lifting/moving light objects - Carrying files, office supplies or training materials (usually under 30 lbs)
- Manual dexterity - Typing, filing, and handling paperwork
- Speaking and listening - Essential for interviews, conflict resolution, presentations and employee interactions
- Visual ability - Necessary for reading screens, documents, and reports
Pay: $58,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
