Farmers Market Bagel Sales Associate

DoughCo Bagels is seeking energetic and dedicated employees to join our bagel sales crew to help us share our amazing bagels to loving customers at farmer's markets in Hudson, NY and Hillsdale, NY. Prior sales experience is not necessary, but passions for people and bagels are required. In addition, reliability and responsibility are vital because of early mornings and interactions with customers.

Our Sales Associates are required to have their own that car that must be large enough to transport bagels and market equipment (tables, tent, tent weights, boxes). Sales Associates will be required to transport the bagels and equipment in their car. Our Sales Associates will meet our driver at a selected location close to the market to collect the bagels. Ideally our Sales Associates would be able to store the market equipment during the week. We are open to discussing different arrangements. Total compensation per market takes into account the length of the farmers market and distance driven. This is a 1099 contractor position.

During the market, Sales Associates will be responsible for taking customer bagel orders and making bagel sandwiches. Role will include one day of paid training. We are looking for Sales Associates to start at the beginning of May with weekly shifts through the end of November. You must have availability during the weekend. Training will take place in April. Sales Associates must be available through the end of November.

Responsibilities include:

- Driving to assigned market

- Setting up and breaking down market equipment

- Selling products and answering customer questions

Employees will work at least once per weekend (with the option of adding more days). Shifts will typically take place between 8:00 am - 1:30 pm. We have markets on Saturdays, Sundays, and Wednesdays. Total compensation per market takes into account the length of the farmers market and distance driven. You must have availability during the weekend.

DoughCo Bagels is a newly launched artisan bagel kitchen inspired by Josh’s extended stays in the Midwest during undergraduate and graduate school where he could not find a quality bagel. After experimenting in the kitchen for over a year, with countless samples to family, friends, and anyone who would give feedback, Josh left his venture capital job and launched DoughCo to serve the New York Metro area. In the first few months of operation, DoughCo quickly expanded to over 4000 bagels/week through two farmers markets. We are now ready to add new members to our exciting team to help us expand further!
