JOB SUMMARY :
The Special Education Teacher plays a critical role in providing specialized instruction and support to students with disabilities or special needs. This position involves designing and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs), adapting curriculum materials, and employing various teaching strategies to meet the diverse needs of the students. The Special Education Teacher collaborates with other educators, support staff, and families to create a nurturing and inclusive learning environment that promotes student success and growth.
QUALIFICATIONS :
- Bachelor's degree in Special Education, required;
- Clear renewable Georgia certification at the SRT level, required;
- Experience working with students with diverse disabilities, learning needs, and behavioral challenges;
- Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate.
