What are the responsibilities and job description for the Delivery Driver position at Dougie John's Pizza?
Delivery drivers are most often the only face that many of our customers will ever see. Accordingly, it is important that every member of our delivery team always be polite, courteous, friendly, and professional. Most of the time our drivers will be working independently, delivering hot pizzas to our hungry customers as their primary job function. When not delivering, drivers will help the rest of the team in the store with an assortment of tasks. Delivery Drivers are responsible for food delivery, assisting in the kitchen, cleaning, and customer service. Tasks include food delivery, helping in the kitchen, stocking, washing dishes, sweeping, mopping, taking customers’ orders, and performing many other related and reasonable tasks. Outlined below are the performance standards and job duties that are required of our delivery drivers. Of course, it is impossible to compile a complete list of all the duties and expectations you will be required to do during your day-to-day job. The expectations and responsibilities listed here are merely the minimum functions and performance levels that will be required.
Delivery Driver Minimum Job Requirements
At a minimum, all delivery drivers must meet the following requirements:
- Be at least 18 years or older
- Can lift 50 lbs. from the ground and over their head repeatedly
- Stand for long periods of time
- Work in a hot, humid environment and be exposed to adverse weather elements such as rain, sleet, snow, and extremely low and high temperatures
- Normal daily duties will require you to stoop, bend, reach, crouch, sit, walk, and pull
