Job Summary
This is a part time position in the area of Parks and Recreation Department. The essential duties and responsibilities include answering and directing telephone calls, assisting the general public, collecting fees, accepting reservations, assisting recreation staff, working special events, working games (football, baseball, softball, soccer, basketball), keeping score for basketball games, overseeing programs and special events, working on fields, cutting grass, setting up for events. The position involves phone usage, working closely with community and the candidate must have excellent phone and people skills. Maintaining clean and organized workspace and guest area.
The position will also require assisting with Covid-19 procedures and policies.
Hours vary based on activities and will include nights, weekends and holidays. Job Ad
Requirements:
Preferred: CPR/First Aid certification
High School Diploma/GED
Experience working with children, including individuals with disabilities, in a structured recreational setting is required
Must be computer literate with MS Office and regular use of data bases
Minimum 18 years of age
Must have and maintain a valid United States Driver's License (Class C), a satisfactory motor vehicle record (MVR) and the ability and willingness to drive a county vehicle; if assigned job duties require the use of a vehicle
Employment is contingent on passing a mandatory Physical/Drug Screen/MVR and Background Investigation.
Salary: $16.00 hourly, NO BENEFITS
