Essential Duties And Responsibilities
50% Systems Analyst:
- Supports DCL staff with day-to-day, first-level technology questions and needs through DCL’s Help Desk.
- Performs regular maintenance, installation, and repair of DCL technology assets at all locations. Must be able to follow instructions.
- Successfully analyzes or troubleshoots any computer, printer, or software issue and resolves the problem in a timely manner.
- Provides proactive and professional customer service with effective communication and prompt follow up.
- Sends out staff notifications on IT outages.
- Understands when appropriate to escalate complex tickets to next level IT Tech for swift resolution.
- Possesses strong project and time management skills to plan, schedule, test, and deploy new programs, apps, and system upgrades. Uses computer imaging tools for mass deployments.
- Performs complete system migrations to ensure that the new system is in place, functional, fully integrated, and end users are notified of changes.
- Performs maintenance tasks on automated circulation systems, laptop dispensers, nontraditional tech devices, people counters, door access systems, time clocks, digital signs, catalog stations, security camera, and AV systems.
- Writes comprehensive, detailed documentation for systems, help desk tickets, and problem resolution that can be effectively used by co-workers for troubleshooting and training purposes.
- Maintains database of DCL’s hardware and software inventory.
- Keeps current with emails and time-cards.
- Engages in the DCL performance feedback system and completes the expectations outlined by your supervisor and department/division.
- Learns, uses and applies industry and organization-specific technology as needed.
- Manages computers, related equipment, and systems for facility moves and refurbishments.
- Manages computer and systems for every employee, including new employee set up and staff changes.
- Ensures that all computer and related equipment is well-configured, operational, and located in the correct place ready to use.
- Maintains effective, timely communication with stakeholders regarding all system moves and updates.

Required
- Must have a reliable method of transportation between all DCL locations.
- A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems or other related technical degree
- Two years previous experience in IT or Technical Support
- MCSE or other technical certifications
