Responsible for performing administrative and clerical support duties related to the County Clerk/Treasurer's Office functions including marriage license issuance, passport acceptance, creating agendas and recording minutes for County Boards, elections, processing documents, receipt and processing of funds from payment of property taxes, room taxes, Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) fees, and other revenue sources, maintains specialized fiscal records.
- Assists general public customers, and/or County employees, on the telephone or in person; answers questions, explains rules, policies, and procedures, and provides information as appropriate; resolves complaints in an efficient and timely manner, referring matters requiring policy interpretation to supervisor for resolution.
- Helps maintain a records management system for all records in the Clerk/Treasurer's office.
- Uses a computer to develop and manage databases and/or spreadsheet files and to develop special report formats.
- Performs a variety of general office support duties such as organizing and maintaining various files, typing correspondence, reports, forms, and specialized documents, and proofreading and checking materials for accuracy, completeness and compliance with departmental policies and regulations.
- Prepares reports and summaries of activities; ensures accurate and timely completion of transaction records for associated agencies and County Departments.
- Represents the County with dignity, integrity, and a spirit of cooperation in all relationships with staff and the public.
- Receives and posts payments, prepares deposits, and reconciles accounts to ledgers or computer-based spreadsheets and/or databases; creates and maintains spreadsheets, database information, and other various documents; maintains various financial files and records; reconciles and makes adjustments to statements requiring detailed examination of accounts.
- Returns tax payments for penalties and issues correspondence to the public for referral to collections.
- Receives and posts payments, prepares deposits.

Education and Experience:
High School diploma/GED; AND two (2) years of administrative/clerical experience; OR an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:
