Seasonal Position / Non-Benefited / No Guarantee of Hours
Seasonal positions available, work hours will vary according to department need. The position may work as much as 40 hours/week, but there is no guarantee of hours.
Job Summary:
This position performs duties associated with guest services and clerical support by receiving, booking, and processing reservation requests, responding to customer inquiries, processing payments; reconciling daily cash receipts in accordance with cash handling policies; maintaining fiscal, financial and/or statistical data and performing a variety of standardized accounting functions; handling high call volumes; and assisting other staff as needed.
Essential Functions:

- Provide courteous customer service to respond to various guest and public inquiries regarding availability, reservations, site restrictions, and other associated information required within the boundaries of the park, resort, campground, moorage, and/or recreational vehicle parking areas; handle reservation issues, changes, and cancellations and monitor site/space availability;
- Receive, coordinate, respond, enter, confirm and process reservation requests received via walk-ins, phone, voicemail message, e-mail, facsimile, on-line platforms, reservation system, and/or written request in a timely manner; provide site availability, rates, amenities, and accommodation information; check guests in and out as needed.
- Process payments via cash, checks, and/or credit card for authorized charges, including but not limited to, camping and/or resort fees, extra vehicles, boat trailers, ATV trailers, moorage, related fees or charges associated with sales, supplies, and/or services.
- Perform a variety of standardized accounting functions, including but not limited to, recording and posting daily receivables and daily transactions; preparing daily transmittals and daily bank deposits; reconciling daily cash receipts/drawers in accordance with all County cash handling policies; review and prepare daily, bi-monthly, and monthly ledgers/reports.
- Compute, prepare and process mail, and email billings and confirmations.
- Coordinate daily with other staff on guest status; assist and/or resolve guest conflicts.
- May be assigned to maintain and monitor inventory and/or order supplies.
- Perform various routine office support services and clerical tasks; assist with other related duties as assigned.

High school diploma or equivalency together with at least 2 years of relevant working experience and/or college degree in accounting, hospitality, education, parks/campg.round reservation and/or guest services, event ticketing, call center, travel planning, customer retail purchasing, or related field.
- At time of appointment, must possess valid Oregon drivers license
- Regular and consistent attendance
Position requires driving. Finalist will be required to provide a driving history that meets the Douglas County Driver Policy as part of contingent offer of employment

Background Investigation: While not part of initial applicant screening, the finalist for this position may be required to pass a criminal history backgroundcheck as part of a contingent offer of employment. Conviction of a crime may not necessarily disqualify an individual from employment.
