We are looking for a service-minded professional to join our team of Customer Engineers. Candidates should have excellent communication skills, ability to solve problems and strong interpersonal skills to work with the public, outside entities, and other departments within the PUD. Customer Engineers conduct engineering and technical activities concerning existing and proposed electrical services, rebuilds, relocations, and new installations of electrical distribution and fiber communication systems.
This position will be filled at one of 2 levels, depending on experience and qualifications.
Level I :
The successful applicant for this position will be hired within an annualized salary range of $67,913 – $90,550 , depending on qualifications for the position. The maximum in this pay scale is $113,189. A bachelor’s degree related to Engineering is required. At least 4 years of work experience in an electrical distribution engineering capacity may substitute for a degree.

Level II :
The successful applicant for this position will be hired within an annualized salary range of $74,806 – $99,740 , depending on qualifications for the position. The maximum in this pay scale is $124,082. This level requires a bachelor’s degree relating to Engineering. At least 4 years of work experience in an electrical distribution engineering capacity may substitute for a degree. Must have 4 to 6 years experience performing customer utility distribution design.
