Position Specific Information (if Applicable):
We are seeking a passionate and skilled Reading Interventionist to support students' academic, social-emotional, and behavioral development. This role involves working closely with students, staff, and families to create a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess students’ reading abilities and identify those who require additional support
- Utilize diagnostic assessments and progress monitoring data to determine areas of need in reading skills
- Develop and implement targeted reading interventions based on student needs
- Provide individualized or small-group instruction in a classroom setting or pull-out setting
- Maintain accurate and complete records of students’ progress
- Collaborate with classroom teachers & special education providers to align instruction and track student progress
- Communicate student progress with parents and other stakeholders
- Participate in professional development opportunities related to literacy instruction
- Participate as a member of the MTSS team to develop appropriate goals and interventions for students needing additional support.
- Communicate MTSS plans, progress, and changes to stakeholders on a regular basis
- Provide collaborative coaching, consultation, modeling, and documentation to support the professional development of classroom teachers in the areas of instructional differentiation, data collection, progress monitoring, and academic interventions
- Manage Secondary READ plans and attend district meetings for READ Act
- Perform other related duties as assigned or requested
Qualifications Required:
- Colorado Teacher License with Endorsement in one or more of the following areas:
- Reading Specialist (K-12), Special Education Generalist, Elementary Education (K-6)
- Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
- Ability to collaborate with teachers, administrators and families to support student success
- Experience in case management, counseling, and crisis intervention
- Strong organization and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of both Mac and PC, Google
Preferred Qualifications:
- Understanding of MTSS framework and its role in general education, special education, and Section 504 eligibility and early intervention
- Experience with literacy intervention
- Minimum of 3-5 years teaching experience preferred

Responsibilities:
- As a teacher you would be expected to plan, organize and implement an appropriate instructional program in a learning environment that guides and encourages students to develop and fulfill their academic potential.
- You are challenged with new teaching methods and educational tools in an ever changing and strategic environment. You would plan, prepare and deliver instructional activities that facilitate active learning experiences and establish and communicate clear objectives for all learning activities.
- You would utilize technology and integrate the use of technology to provide a variety of learning materials and resources for use in educational activities, instruct and monitor students in the use of learning materials and equipment, observe, evaluate, encourage and provide feedback on student's performance and development.
- You would maintain accurate and complete records of students' progress and development preparing required reports on students and activities.
- Teachers are responsible for managing student behavior in the classroom by establishing and enforcing rules and procedures, maintain discipline in accordance with the rules and disciplinary systems of the school, and applying appropriate disciplinary measures where necessary.
- Our teachers are integral parts of their school and the school community, performing certain duties including but not limited to student support, counseling students with academic problems and supporting certain extracurricular activities such as social activities, sporting activities, clubs and student organizations, participating in department and school meetings, and parent meetings.
