Collaboration with school administration, counselors and mental health providers, and teachers is critical. The critical skills include the ability to work with a wide range of students in support of their behavior regulation, problem solving, understanding of multiple perspectives, and executive functioning. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential.

- Support the development and implementation of student behavior intervention plans
- Collaboratively monitor effectiveness of the school’s student behavior systems
- Regulary communicate with families about student behavior and supports
- Refer students and families to mental health service providers or counselors when needed
- Collaborate with school administration on appropriate disciplinary actions
- Perform other related duties as assigned or requested
- Provide leadership, collaboration, and support in the area of restorative strategies at the school and classroom level
- Support students and staff with restorative conversations
- Support students with behavior regulation, problem solving, and understanding multiple perspectives
- Support students with the development of effective functioning skills
