Job Description
Will serve as the primary CTE instructor following development of Pathway and the program launch.
Under the supervision of the Director and/or Assistant Director, Advanced Manufacturing/Aerospace Pathway Developer plans/develops coursework in Electronics, Aerospace Engineering, Additive Manufacturing/3D Printing, and CNC Machining along with social, behavioral, and other educational or related skill areas that serve as the basis for DCSD Legacy Campus pathway programs; along with postsecondary partners, Pathway Developer plans/develops, organizes, implements, and assesses a comprehensive educational program for students; to include Career and Technical Education standards, concurrent enrollment requirements, and industry certification assessments, as appropriate; establishes through intentional recruitment and industry partnerships a CTE advisory panel to ensure that the program pathway is relevant to workforce readiness, assists in other school programs as assigned; creates a supportive and flexible program and environment conducive to learning and personal growth according to each student’s ability and interests. Engages in recruitment and outreach activities in preparation for the opening of the building/pathway. Develops and promotes good community relations among various community and school clientele.
Minimum Experience
As this position will be a planning team position for first year of assignment, there will be support in assisting the selected candidate to meet the following requirements prior to shifting to teacher-of-record in second year of assignment:

Develop and articulate course pathway curricula that conform to District, Career and Technical Education (CTE), and concurrent enrollment/dual enrollment standards.
Utilize technology and integrate the use of technology to provide a variety of learning materials and resources for use in educational activities, instruct and monitor students in the use of learning materials and equipment, and observe, evaluate, encourage, and provide feedback on students' performance and development.
Collaborate closely with postsecondary partners to align instructional materials and planning to assessments culminating in industry certifications and high school/college course credit.
Serve as an integral part of the school and school community, performing certain duties including but not limited to Career/Technical Student Organizations, participating in department and school meetings, and parent meetings.
Engage industry and community partners to form and maintain a CTE Advisory Board to assess and inform program relevance.
Assist in other school programs as assigned.
Engage in all professional development/coursework necessary to be fully licensed and certified to instruct pathway programming, including CDE, CTE, and postsecondary requirements.
Serve as a part of the program outreach/recruitment team, visiting neighborhood and alternative high schools and promoting program awareness.
Plan and organize an appropriate instructional program to guide and encourage students to develop and fulfill their academic potential and workforce readiness.
Utilize new teaching methods and educational tools in an ever-changing and strategic environment. Plan, prepare, and deliver instructional activities that facilitate active learning experiences and establish and communicate clear objectives for all learning activities.

- 24 semester hours of related post-secondary coursework verified on an official transcript to include a minimum of three (3) semester hours of content coursework in four of the following areas: Introduction to manufacturing technology, Introduction to process technology, Manufacturing design, Networks and control systems, Manufacturing, communications and teamwork, etc.
- Hold valid and current NAM certification, SME certified manufacturing technologist or SME lean certification
- Bachelor’s or higher degree in an Engineering or STEM-related field: 2,000 hours of verified occupational (non-teaching) experience in the content area
- Less than a bachelor’s degree: 4,000 hours of verified occupational (non-teaching) experience in the content area
- Three (3) years’ verified teaching experience in the content area.
- Applicable U.S. military experience
