Overview
The Douglas County Child Support Department is seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to join our team as an Administrative Associate. This position provides multi-faceted administrative support functions and customer service to the Child Support Department while providing services in a professional, confidential, and ethical manner in accordance with State and Federal Statutes.
Job Description
The successful candidate will be responsible for performing various administrative tasks, including:
- Data entry and record-keeping.
- Communication with clients via phone, email, and in-person.
- Providing exceptional customer service and resolving issues in a professional and courteous manner.
- Performing case interface initiation functions, including accessing state reports and verifying participant status.
- Reviewing CWW to determine participant and case eligibility for child support or updates.
- Assisting with department applications and other related duties.
- Maintaining inventory of office supplies.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, or a related field.
- At least one year of experience in an administrative role, preferably in a government agency.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and other software applications.
