Seeking a Construction Manager that will act as the owners representative on key projects for
high-rise construction. The primary responsibilities of the role are to represent the company for
the duration of the construction project, from project kick-off through project closeout.
Key aspects include involvement in meetings, oversight of contractor work, budget control, and
schedule oversight as well as value engineering, cost analysis, and risk management.
Pre-construction Responsibilities
Work with management team and others to prepare and/or assist in the permitting of
development of projects
Work with management team and others to develop and determine budgets and schedules
as well as design
Project Responsibilities
Act as the main point of contact during the design, construction and close out phases
Administer/ process contractual documents
Understand and interpret architectural and engineering construction documents
Chair coordination meetings as deemed necessary to maintain adequate project control
and manage related documentation
Work with the Project Team to coordinate priorities
Work with the Project Team to review any design or construction changes
Review project costs and review contractor, subcontractor, consultant and other billings
Observe construction progress and provide feedback to the Project Team
Requirements
Requirements for the position include a BS in Construction Management, Engineering, a
related degree, or equivalent experience.
Experience with waterproofing of curtain wall installation-
Proficient at Microsoft Word, Excel, and Project.
Ten plus years of technically complex construction experience in the Los Angeles
market
The ability to develop and manage teams, communicate effectively, identify and resolve
complex issues
Salary : $150,000 - $175,000
