ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIESThis not an exhaustive or all-inclusive list of responsibilities, skills, duties or functions associated with the job.Manages various school administrative functions (e.g. student disciplinary policy, school schedule, assigned personnel, etc.) for the purpose of enforcing school, district and state policy and maintaining safety and efficiency of school operations.Facilitates communication between personnel, students and/or parents for the purpose of evaluating situations, solving problems and/or resolving conflicts.Directs implementation of district curriculum in each classroom.Participates in the hiring of staff, supervises and evaluates licensed and educational support staff.Participates in the planning, development, implementation, interpretation, and administration of policies, rules and regulations. Assists in the development of budgets, monitoring spending for the purpose of achieving program objectives efficiently.Communicate effectively with staff, students, parents, school board and community about the school.Supports staff for the purpose of assisting with their job functions of maintaining overall school site operation.Confers, and consults with school and District personnel, parents, and students pertaining to educational and behavior management problems and solutions.
QUALIFICATIONSA valid State of Oregon Administrative License or the ability to obtain one.A masters degree in educational administration or in education with emphasis in curriculum and instruction.Successful experience in supervising, personnel management, financial management, budget preparation and management.
