STATEMENT OF DUTIES The Special Education Teacher evaluates, designs, and implements all aspects of specifically designed instruction for children with disabilities. The teacher will work with students in a Resource Room and will serve as a case manager for their students. EMPLOYMENT REWARDS Competitive salary – $45,674 - $81,963 per year (Based on the 2024-25 salary schedule. The 2025-26 salary schedule has yet to be negotiated.) QUALIFICATIONS Properly endorsed Oregon Teaching License (Handicapped Learner or Special Education) We are open to helping the right candidate obtain licensure certification! Strong ability to work as a team member Familiarity with a variety of age appropriate instructional, assessment and classroom management strategies that reflect current research on best practices Experience working with diverse groups Must possess excellent oral and written communication skills Ability to exhibit professionalism and effective human relations Ability to effectively manage and supervise students and their work Standard First Aid certification, or the ability to obtain certification within two months of hire required.
