Student Success Coach - Douglas ESD Douglas ESD is accepting applications for a Student Success Coach. This coach position is specific to English language development. Bilingual required. This position is 190 days per year, 5 days per week, 8 hours per day to begin in the 2025-26 school year. Bachelor’s degree range: $49,631 - $83,440 Master’s degree range: $50,868 - $85,528 JOB SUMMARY: This position supports the Douglas ESD Education Services department by providing training, facilitation, mentoring, and coaching to ESD staff and partner districts throughout Douglas County. The Student Success Coach works to strengthen inclusive learning environments and promote positive outcomes for student focal groups identified in Oregon’s Student Success Act. The Student Success Coach supporting English Language Development must be bilingual to effectively assist multilingual learners. DUTIES: This is not an exhaustive or all-inclusive list of responsibilities, skills, duties or functions associated with the job. Full job description attached in Applitrack. Plan and lead professional learning to help districts implement inclusive and student-centered practices. Guide improvement efforts using structured problem-solving and continuous improvement methods. Collaborate with ESD teams—including instructional coaches, data specialists, and youth mentors—to align student support strategies. Create and support Student Connection Groups that provide inclusive spaces for students to build community, explore shared interests, and foster belonging. Support educator-facing connection circles to promote collaboration and professional reflection. Support student-led initiatives and student unions that align with school culture and climate goals. Provide direct student learning support—such as mentoring, tutoring, or small group instruction—based on district-identified needs. Engage with community-based organizations to coordinate resources, expand student supports, and build stronger school-community partnerships. Advise districts on instructional and programmatic practices that reflect student and family needs. Deliver coaching, technical assistance, and training that help districts meet state and programmatic goals, including support for multilingual learners. Assist with the coordination of data collection, analysis, and reporting for program improvement and grant requirements. Travel to schools throughout Douglas County; overnight travel may occasionally be required. Fulfill other duties as assigned. Adhere to workplace expectations. QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree required. Master’s preferred. Possess or ability to obtain an Oregon TSPC license. One (1) year teaching experience or acceptable alternative. Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking Spanish. Proven experience developing and delivering professional development for educators and administrators. Demonstrated leadership in equity focused program development.
