Job Description
About the Role:
As a Guest Services Shift Leader, you'll be a key member of our salon’s leadership team, reporting directly to the Salon Director. You will lead our Guest Services team and ensure the smooth operation of Guest Services and Salon operations. Your role is pivotal in upholding our commitment to providing exceptional guest care.
Your Responsibilities Will Include:
Leadership:
- Assist in training the Guest Services team, working closely with the Salon Director.
- Oversee front desk operations, retail, and guest care.
- Prepare and organize the Guest Service schedule to ensure efficiency.
- Act as a liaison for technicians when the Salon Director is unavailable.
- Lead by example, setting high standards for the guest service team.
- Collaborate with the Salon Director in managing retail and supply orders and timecard adjustments.
Guest Reservations:
- Provide outstanding guest care from the moment they walk in.
- Facilitate the guest experience through warm greetings, efficient check-ins, and seamless check-outs.
- Play a crucial role in salon opening and closing procedures.
- Manage cash handling, bank deposits, and customer returns.
Product & Service Knowledge:
- Maintain the aesthetic appeal of our retail area.
- Stay updated on the product lines and assist guests in selecting the right products for their needs.
- Participate in product knowledge training to offer expert recommendations.
Qualifications
What We're Looking For:
- Strong leadership skills, leading by example.
- Ability to coach and support the Guest Service team in the Salon Director's absence.
- Previous retail and/or customer service experience is a must.
- Supervisory experience is a significant advantage.
- Exceptional organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Polished and professional appearance that aligns with the Douglas J and the Salon Industry.
- High School diploma or equivalent; some college or post-secondary education is a bonus.
- Self-motivated with outstanding communication skills.
- Attention to detail and a charismatic attitude.
- Reliable transportation for bank deposits.
- Flexibility to work a full-time schedule, including evenings and Saturdays.
