We are a San Clemente-based Employee Benefits Consulting firm specializing in designing, building, implementing, and managing employee benefit programs for private sector clients. We are seeking an energetic, self-motivated individual to join our team as an Employee Benefits

Account Manager / Processing Specialist. This position will focus on providing comprehensive service and support to our account clients, alongside data entry and support for our cloud-based technology system.

Primary Job Responsibilities & Essential Duties :

  • Timely and accurate completion of daily tasks and commitments.
  • Collaborate with Account Managers / Brokers to complete time-sensitive projects.
  • Implement new and renewing clients.
  • Communicate with insurance carriers regarding plan administration and account issues.
  • Maintain client confidentiality and protect company operations.
  • Exhibit the highest level of ethics and professionalism.
  • Coordinate and manage an existing book of business with lead producer.
  • Foster client relationships, support retention efforts, and understand client needs.
  • Manage claims and provide coverage resolutions.
  • Assist with client billing and eligibility audits.
  • Federal and State compliance management.
  • Prepare open enrollment packets including, but not limited to, SBCs, disclosure notices, and employee benefit information guides.
  • Develop and present open enrollment materials, including webinars for employees and HR Managers.
  • Manage plan carriers, vendor implementations, including system build-outs and project management.

Qualifications, Skills, and Abilities :

  • Employee Benefits experience preferred.
  • Life & Health License required within 90 days of employment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Above average typing, written communication and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong client and vendor relationship-building skills.
  • Strong Ability to handle multiple high-priority projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent critical thinking, time management, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and manage confidential information with professionalism.
  • Self-motivated and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong presentation, analytical, and customer service skills.
  • Experience with both small and large group clients (101 lives) preferred.
  • Ability to present effectively before groups of clients and employees.
  • Maintain confidentiality at all times.
  • Typical Working Conditions :

  • In-person, professional office environment
  • Full-time, Monday through Friday, 8 : 00 AM to 5 : 00 PM
  • Education :

  • BS / BA degree preferred
