Job Summary:

The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the warehouse, ensuring efficient and safe handling of materials, and supervising the warehouse team. This role involves managing inventory, coordinating shipping and receiving activities, and maintaining a clean and organized warehouse environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervision:
• Oversee and manage warehouse staff, including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance evaluations.
• Ensure that all team members adhere to safety protocols and company policies.
• Inventory Management:
• Maintain accurate inventory records and conduct regular physical counts.
• Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with the purchasing department to reorder stock as needed.
• Manage inventory discrepancies and implement corrective actions.
• Shipping and Receiving:
• Coordinate and oversee the receiving of incoming materials and the shipping of outgoing orders.
• Ensure that all shipments are accurate, properly labeled, and documented.
• Work with logistics providers to optimize shipping schedules and costs.
• Warehouse Operations:
• Ensure the warehouse is organized, clean, and free of safety hazards.
• Implement and maintain efficient warehouse layouts and storage systems.
• Operate and maintain warehouse equipment, including forklifts and pallet jacks.
• Quality Control:
• Conduct regular inspections of incoming and outgoing materials to ensure quality standards are met.
• Address and resolve any quality issues in a timely manner.
• Reporting:
• Generate and analyze reports on warehouse performance, including inventory levels, order fulfillment rates, and employee productivity.
• Provide regular updates to management on warehouse operations and improvement opportunities.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; associate's or bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field is preferred.
• 3 years of experience in warehouse operations, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
• Strong understanding of warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory control procedures.
• Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
• Ability to lead and motivate a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software.
• Forklift certification is a plus.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods.
• Comfortable working in various environmental conditions, including temperature extremes.
