What are the responsibilities and job description for the Optometric Assistant / Receptionist (Part Time) position at Dove Canyon Optometry?
We are a high-performing, energetic optometry office in Rancho Santa Margarita, CA, featuring full-service vision care, designer eye and sun glasses, specialized contact lenses, and LASIK-related services.
We're currently looking for a part time (Tuesday and Thursday afternoons, Saturdays, and some Fridays) person to join our team.
Duties to include:
- Scheduling patient appointments
- Checking patients in, assisting them through their computerized testing
- Handling incoming phone calls
- Notifying patients that their glasses are ready
- Filing
- Repairing and adjusting loose / damaged glasses
- Assisting our other team members when they are busy
Ideal Qualities:
- Experience in optometry is helpful but NOT required; we would much rather hire the right PERSONALITY
- Hard-working
- Honest
- Good with people / comfortable with sales
- Energetic
- Professional Appearance
- Willing to learn new things

- $18-20/hr depending on personality, attitude, and experience
