What are the responsibilities and job description for the Home Health Aide 9am to 1pm Monday to Sunday position at Dove Home Care Nursing Services LLC?
Duties
- Provide direct patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse or licensed practical nurse
- Assist with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
- Assist with mobility and transfers, using proper body mechanics and equipment as needed
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration
- Assist with meal planning and preparation, ensuring dietary restrictions are followed
- Administer medications as directed by healthcare professionals
- Perform basic nursing procedures, such as wound care and dressing changes
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients
Experience
- Previous experience in patient care is preferred but not required
- Familiarity with hospice care, primary care, or working with individuals with developmental disabilities or behavioral health issues is a plus
- Knowledge of aseptic technique and airway management is beneficial
- Experience in home care setting is desirable
