About This Position:
As a Referral Coordinator you will act as a liaison between pet owners, referring veterinarians (rDVMs), and DoveLewis’ Specialty departments. You will be tasked with coordinating appointments, managing medical record communications, and supporting a seamless client experience from check-in to discharge. Our ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, an eye for detail and organization and, above all, a genuine love of animals and an appreciation for the human-animal bond.
Wage Range: 22-24 hourly depending on experience, education, and certification.
Schedule: This position is anticipated to be Monday – Friday, 40 hours per week. As you will be working in conjunction with our Specialty departments, the hours will closely align with standard daytime business hours.
What are we looking for in a candidate?
- High school diploma or GED required
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a fast-paced administrative, receptionist, or client service role
- At least 6 months of experience in an emergency or specialty veterinary setting
- Prior experience using veterinary practice management software required
- Veterinary assistant experience is a plus
- Any suitable combination of experience or education may substitute for the above.
