Position Summary :

Responsible for helping with the operation, maintenance, and upgrade of networked PC hardware, software, and peripherals, as well as coordinating maintenance of all network printers.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
Provide primary Helpdesk support to end users.
Problem solving, troubleshooting, and providing support for PC related software issues.
Repair, install, and upgrade PC hardware and related peripherals.
Troubleshoot and solve printer problems and jams. Coordinate printer support when needed.
Maintains and adheres to IT standards and procedures.
Establish and maintain good relationships with all clients and colleagues.
Manage technical documentation.
Keeping accurate and detailed descriptions of services performed while on a service call.
Maintains a current level of information system education.
General upkeep (Lean 5S) of the IT Department areas.
Keeps supervisor advised of problems and potential problems as well as information system opportunities, security issues, faults, trouble issues, and potential improvements.

Qualifications / Requirements :

High School Diploma associate degree in Computer Science or Information Technology preferred.

1 - 2 years experience, similar related work experience or internship displaying ability to perform this role.

PC technical training (certifications preferred).

Performing similar duties in a manufacturing facility a plus.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Good people skills.

Diligence is critical.

Good critical thinking skills.

Ability to work comfortably on a ladder.

Ability to perform basic mathematical functions and understand basic accounting principles.

Language Skills :

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

Ability to author routine reports and correspondence.

Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of an organization.

Reasoning Ability :

Ability to apply common sense understanding to follow instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.

Ability to deal with problems involving multiple concrete variables in standardized situations.

Ability to analyze, communicate and organize.

Other Skills and Abilities :

Ability to work semi-independently to quickly analyze and solve hardware problems.

Technical background in computer maintenance.

Competent with recent Windows and Office versions.

Experience with PCs in a Microsoft Active Directory Domain environment.

Experience troubleshooting Canon printer / copiers a plus.

Experience with Laptop & Desktop computers of different configurations.

Ability to communicate, organize, follow policies and standards.

Ability to multi-task and perform in a dynamic environment while maintaining a positive outlook and energy.

Physical Demands :

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to sit. The employee is frequently required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and taste.

The employee must occasionally lift and / or move up to fifty pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
