Responsibilities
- Acknowledge receipt of shipment information accurately and in a timely manner.
- Pick and pack products for shipment while performing tasks safely and efficiently.
- Unload and load trailers in a safe and efficient manner.
- Perform material handling tasks using powered industrial equipment such as forklifts, safely and efficiently.
- Reposition trailers using material handling equipment.
- Process packages through parcel shipping carriers' systems such as FEDEX and UPS.
- Perform audits and verifying shipping accuracy to maintain highest level of customer satisfaction.
- Maintain accurate inventory.
- Consolidate inventory as needed.
- Acknowledge receipt of shipment freight characteristics accurately and in a timely manner.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior forklift experience.
- Prior experience using computer as well as scan guns.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Must be willing and able to work overtime hours during the week as well as on weekends as business needs dictate.
- Must be willing and able to comply with all plant safety policies.
- Ability to operate material handling equipment as required.
- Lift up to 50 pounds frequently, Lift up to 75 pounds periodically with assistance.
- Strong preference for prior experience using computer as well as scan guns.
- Ability to site/walk/stand for up to 10 hour a day.
- Ability to bend, push, pull and kneel.
- Ability to work in weather extremes.
- Ability to wear required PPE.
- Self-directed to work independently as well as possess the ability to work in a team environment.
- Attention to detail as it pertains to accuracy as well as solid decision-making skills.
