Job Title :         Material Handler - Forklift Driver

Location :         South Chesterfield, VA

What we are looking for :

We are looking for a Material Handler  for Fabrication Department who will be responsible for accurately and safely loading and unloading of materials while maintaining the flow of materials to the organizations to ensure that all aspects of the company needs are being met.

What you will be responsible for in this role :

Operates  forklifts, hand trucks, hoists or other handling equipment to move material to and from trucks or within the facility.

Consignment inventory, location to location moves, & inventory adjustments.

Assists in the cycle counting process as requested.

Works with Inventory Control & Lead(s) during investigations of quality issues, inventory issues, shipping complaints and process improvements. Works as part of the Distribution team to ensure all requested material transfers are completed accurately in a timely manner.

Transfers, transports and stages materials in a timely and accurate manner. Maintains documentation and other related records.

Participates in the continuous improvement process.

Other duties may be assigned.

What are the basic qualifications?

HS Diploma / GED

Previous manufacturing experience is preferred.

May be required to perform specific tasks that involve standing, bending, lifting, pushing, pulling, squatting, or kneeling.

Must be able to lift with or without mechanical aids on a recurring basis (up to 50 lbs).

Work is performed within a production environment, subject to temperature variations, hazardous chemicals, mechanical parts, increased noise levels and dust.
