Main position objectives
The Research and Development (R&D) engineer is responsible for designing and developing new products, services, and processes related to polymer manufacturing equipment. Integral to the development of new products, they will work on projects to increase product performance, reduce costs, reduce environmental impact, and support a highly diverse customer base. This individual will work closely with Product Management, Sales, Technical Service, and Manufacturing, to support the innovation and improvement of over 5 product lines to include, but not limited to, Die Plates, Dryers, Filtration, Pulverizers, and Tempered Water Systems.
What You'll Do
Understand and hold paramount the needs of the end user to develop and improve new and existing products within Maag Americas Centers of Excellence (COE’s) : Die Plates, Dryers, Large Area Filtration, Pulverizers, Tempered Water Systems.
- Perform product development steps as assigned, based on project complexity, including, but not limited to
Project Management : schedule management, budget tracking, Risk Assessment and Mitigation Plans (RAMP)
The incumbent considers all interests of quality, accident prevention, and occupational safety as well as environmental safety in a preventive manner within their scope of responsibility and supports the avoidance of damages to people, facilities, assets, material and environment actively.
