What are the responsibilities and job description for the District School Psychologist - Dover High School position at Dover High School?
•Directly responsible to the Director of MTSS and/or Director of Student Services; and/or Building Level Designee
•This position involves conducting psychoeducational assessments, including developing individualized instruction and intervention recommendations for IEPs. Additional responsibilities will include providing individual or small group counseling and/or social-behavioral services; supporting school crisis prevention and intervention services; participating on problem-solving teams to help support struggling and diverse learners; and connecting families with appropriate community service providers when necessary.
•Evaluation responsibilities may also include conducting FBA’s, risk assessments, or helping with other district school psychologist’s evaluation duties as needed.
•The school psychologist will participate in IDEA or Section 504 Team meetings to communicate evaluation findings, provide recommendations, and help determine eligibility.
•Work in collaboration with teachers, families, school counselors, school social workers, behavior specialists, administrators, and other staff members.
•Provide professional development to staff on topics relevant to student achievement and social-emotional well-being, along with, safe and supportive learning environments.
