Summary
We are seeking skilled Maintenance Technicians to join our team at the Dover Housing Authority. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the proper maintenance and repair of residential properties, contributing to our mission of providing safe and quality housing for our community.
Responsibilities
- Perform tasks related to general upkeep of buildings and grounds, including general cleaning.
- Mow lawns, shovel snow, remove refuse, etc.
- Wash, wax, and polish floors, walls, and other surfaces.
- Check various appliances and equipment for proper functioning.
- Prepare surfaces and paint as required.
- Must be available to work during emergencies and weather-related matters.
- Must keep designated work site clean and organized.
- Must keep work vehicles clean and organized.
- Must consistently and accurately track use of own time.
- Must consistently and accurately report material use.
- Must be able to complete work in a timely manner.
- Maintain tools and equipment required for tasks.
- May perform any duties listed in custodian job description.
- Must display professionalism and address tenants respectfully at all times.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid Driver's License
- Experience in facilities maintenance or a related field preferred
- Strong electrical and mechanical knowledge preferred
- Ability to read and interpret schematics and technical manuals preferred
- Customer service skills to interact positively with residents and team members.
The Dover Housing Authority is a member of the New Hampshire Retirement Pension System. The Dover Housing Authority will also pays 100% of employees' insurance programs which include health, life, disability, and dental insurance.
