Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Precision Machinist to join our team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for setting up and operating manual machines, including mills and lathes, to perform machining operations.
- Read and process sheets, blueprints, and sketches of parts to determine machining requirements, dimensional specifications, setup, and operating needs.
- Interpret work instructions and identify the proper tooling for operations.
- Calculate feeds and speeds for various materials, such as steel, copper, brass, aluminum, and bronze.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Prior experience with precision inspection equipment, including micrometers, calipers, height gauges, and bore gauges.
- Proven ability to hold tight machining tolerances of less than .001".
- Preferred experience with OKUMA Space Turn LB3000 EX2 Lathes with live tooling.
