We're seeking a skilled Manual Milling Machine Technician to join our team. As a key member of our production team, you'll set up and operate manual machines, including mills and lathes, to perform machining operations.
Main Responsibilities:
- Read and process blueprints and sheets to determine machining requirements
- Interpret work instructions and identify necessary tooling
- Calculate proper feeds and speeds for various materials
- Implement Lean Manufacturing principles to reduce setup times and improve productivity
What You Need to Succeed:
- Prior experience with precision inspection equipment
- Ability to hold tight machining tolerances
- Experience with OKUMA Space Turn LB3000 EX2 Lathes preferred
Education Requirements:
- One year certificate from college or technical school; or three to six months related experience and/or training
Working Conditions:
- Regularly required to stand and talk or hear
- Occasionally required to walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel
- Frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
Workplace Safety:
- Regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts
- Occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles
