Dover-Sherborn High School seeks a Long Term Substitute School Counselor beginning March 17th through the remainder of the 2024-2025 school year.
GENERAL EXPECTATIONS
The school counselor must be capable of developing positive relationships with all students, while responding to developmental needs and maximizing opportunities for growth. The counselor must be flexible, approachable and collaborative as they balance daily tasks and respond to emergency situations. Counselors must demonstrate strong oral, written and technology based communication skills and be active in the educational process of each student within their caseloads. It is important for the counselor to relate well to all stakeholders (ie; students, parents/guardians, staff, community members, etc) and to foster a welcoming atmosphere in the counseling office.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide short, longer term and crisis counseling to individuals students
Communicate with parents/guardians, staff, administration and outside supports and agencies
Collect data and report out on IEP counseling goals
Attend weekly Student Update Meetings
Attend monthly clinical meetings
Salary : $190
