Job Description

We are a growing web software development company in Massachusetts, dedicated to delivering high-quality, scalable, and secure Cloud Services for our clients. We are looking for a hands-on IT Systems Specialist who loves to build, explore, and experiment with technology—a natural tinkerer who can take on challenges fearlessly and creatively.

Responsibilities :

Provide technical support to company staff, troubleshooting software and hardware issues as they arise.
Install, configure, and update software and hardware—whether it's setting up a new laptop or optimizing server performance.
Build and rebuild servers, laptops, and other systems as needed for testing and exploration.
Experiment with and set up virtual machines, Docker containers, and new cloud environments to explore capabilities and solve real-world problems.
Maintain and secure our infrastructure, including firewalls, antivirus, IDS, and other security measures.
Conduct diagnostics to assess system efficiency and ensure smooth operation.
Provision and manage both LAMP (Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP) and WIMP (Windows, IIS, MSSQL, ASP.NET) stacks.
Use scripting tools like PowerShell to automate processes and make IT workflows more efficient.
Respond to alerts and incidents, troubleshooting issues and restoring services effectively.

Qualifications :

Passion for Technology : We’re looking for someone with a natural curiosity and desire to learn. You should enjoy building and tinkering with computers, servers, and cloud services.

Technical Skills :

Familiarity with both Windows and Linux operating systems.

Basic experience or knowledge of virtualization technologies (e.g., VMWare, Hyper-V).

Understanding of Docker and an interest in experimenting with containerization.

Knowledge of networking, security, and basic IT infrastructure.

PowerShell or other scripting skills are a plus.

Mindset : A problem solver who is comfortable experimenting and learning on the go.

Team Player : Able to communicate effectively and collaborate within a team environment.
