As VP of Marketing, you'll lead a team of dedicated and talented marketers across San Francisco and Sydney and help us to create and own the Customer Insights Hub category. You'll apply your solid foundation of experience in growth-stage SaaS and PLG to bring our marketing vision and strategy to life. B2B marketing is a strength and passion, and you bring experience developing best in class demand generation and lifecycle. Storytelling is your bread and butter - you're gifted at crafting compelling stories that resonate with end-users and executives and you'll be teaching us how to do it. You'll be an internal and champion for Dovetail's potential as a much-needed solution for gaps in the current product tech stack and the promise the business holds for the future.
What you'll do
- Oversee our team of talented marketers . Our team of 20 is growing across our San Francisco and Sydney offices, encompassing brand & content, creative studio, demand gen, product marketing, community, and web engineering. You'll directly manage our Head of Brand, Head of Demand Gen, Head of Brand & Content, and our Web Engineering lead.
- Collaborate across the business. You'll report to and be in lockstep with our VP Go-To- Market, partnering with our CEO and other key stakeholders at all levels across Sales, Customer Success, Product, and Operations to develop and implement our comprehensive marketing strategy.
- Set the vision and strategy for our marketing efforts. You'll work with the team to plan, build, execute and optimize prioritized growth programs that help us meet and exceed business objectives. You inherit an innovative storytelling and brand team at Dovetail, our expectation is you help elevate those teams and develop a world class B2B demand generation team to enable hyper growth.
- Continuously refine our storytelling approach based on audience engagement, market trends, and ROI analysis across all channels. You'll define and track key metrics that directly link our marketing efforts to tangible commercial outcomes (e.g. leads, pipeline, sign-ups, conversion, expansion, etc.).
- Foster a team culture of calculated risk-taking and constant improvement. You'll encourage the team to be bold and swing for the fences, celebrate failures that help us learn faster, and champion constant iteration and improvement - the work is never done but we'll have a great time doing it.
- Manage and advocate for marketing spend. You'll not only manage the marketing budget, optimizing ROI in partnership with your reports and cross-functional partners, but you'll push us to invest in high potential opportunities and programs from both a cash and resource perspective.

Compensation Range : $275,000-$300,000 base salary. Compensation offered will be determined by factors such as location, level, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Certain roles may be eligible for incentive compensation, equity, benefits.
