Key Responsibilities:
- Floor Maintenance: Sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming floors, including carpets and hard surfaces.
- Dusting and Polishing: Dusting furniture, fixtures, and surfaces, and polishing woodwork and glass.
- Restroom Cleaning and Sanitization: Cleaning and disinfecting restrooms, including toilets, sinks, and mirrors, and replenishing supplies like soap, paper towels, and toilet paper.
- Trash Removal and Disposal: Emptying trash bins and recycling containers, and ensuring proper waste disposal.
- Window Cleaning: Washing windows, mirrors, and glass surfaces.
- Supply Restocking: Restocking supplies in bathrooms, kitchens, and other common areas. Responsible for maintaining an inventory of cleaning supplies and general-use items, ensuring stock levels are monitored. Notifies the administration team when supplies are low and require reordering.
- General Cleaning: Cleaning and sanitizing office spaces, including desks, tables, chairs, and other furniture.
- Carpet Cleaning: Spot-cleaning or shampooing carpets as needed.
Other Responsibilities:
- Following Cleaning Schedules: Adhering to established cleaning schedules and protocols.
- Adhering to Safety Guidelines: Following workplace health and safety rules, including proper handling of cleaning chemicals and wearing personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Reporting Issues: Reporting any maintenance or repair needs to the supervisor.
- Maintaining Equipment: Ensuring all cleaning equipment and supplies are stored safely and securely.
- Customer Service: Providing excellent customer service and handling any client inquiries or complaints professionally.
- Documentation: Accurately logging completed tasks and working hours.
- Coordinating with Office Manager: Working closely with the office manager to ensure that all cleaning duties are completed efficiently and report any equipment or supply issues as soon as they arise.
- Supply Inventory Management: Manage and maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and general use supplies. May be called on to assist on management of office supplies as well.
- Local Item Retrieval: Must meet requirements to operate company vehicle. Use of company vehicle to retrieve items at various locations around Oklahoma City and nearby areas.
Competencies
- Proven working experience as a custodian.
- Knowledge of safe use of cleaning chemicals and supplies.
- Integrity and ability to work independently.
Required Education/Experience
- High School Degree or GED
- 1 year(s) in a custodian/janitorial role.
Primary Work Environment
- Climate controlled primarily; Occasionally not climate controlled
- Shop/Warehouse
- Occasional loud noises
- Occasional fumes and particles
- Frequently moving mechanical equipment and vibrations
- Occasionally Outdoors

Expected Days and Hours
- Monday through Friday

- This position has no direct supervisory or management responsibilities.
Travel requirements
- Rarely (up to 10% of the year) - Primarily Local and in between buildings.
Required Personal Equipment/Tooling
- Protective steel-toed footwear
Other Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) required for job duties and responsibilities will be provided as necessary by Dow Aero, including protective eyewear, respirator, etc.
