As a Quality Assurance Assistant at Dow Aero, your responsibilities will include assisting with multi-disciplinary functions, such as regulatory audits, developing and implementing Corrective Action Plans (CAP), administering agency-wide policies, and controlling quality documentation and records. This role will report directly to the Sr. Vice President. The role demands confidentiality, initiative, sound decision-making, independent judgment, and the ability to escalate serious or unique issues promptly to superiors. Essential Functions
- Knowledge of basic office management systems and procedures, along with willingness and ability to quickly learn commercial and proprietary software operating procedures.
- Policy, Procedure/Technical writing.
- Collect, analyze and summarize quality focused metrics.
- Aviation Supplier Management.
- Demonstrate exceptional active listening, comprehension, communication, and analytical skills.
- Ability to rapidly acquire a thorough knowledge of Dow Aero’s processes and procedures.
- Organizational, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills. Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously while staying organized.
- Ability to identify priorities, dependencies and execute the workload accordingly.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to think creatively.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders at all levels both orally and in writing. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.

- Familiarity with manufacturing documentation such as: Manufacturing Process Planning; First Article Inspection Reporting (FAIRs), and Quality Inspection Planning (QIP) documentation.
- Knowledge of relevant industry standards and regulations. Review and application of published industry and regulatory standards as it relates to the manufacturing and maintenance of aerospace components.
- Evaluates quality processes to ensure their continued effectiveness.
- Investigate non-conforming outputs and recommend effective corrective actions.
- Can be called upon to perform routine audits and reporting on results.
- Ability to identify and address internal and external risks.
- Work closely with Quality and other departments in the creation of Training documentation and training plans.
- Attendance of Lead Auditor Course.
- Attendance of FAA 145 Training.

Required Education or Experience
- High School Diploma (Higher Education Preferred)
- Four (4) or more years of administrative experience in an office environment.
- Solid understanding of Windows computer operating systems.
- Intermediate to High level of skill in use of all Microsoft office software with a focus on Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Experience in document management and report generation.
- Experience with quality control processes, procedures, and policies.
Preferred Education or Experience
- Five (5) or more years of Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) repair station quality assurance experience.
- Experience with ISO/AS Quality Management Systems (QMS) and internal audit procedures.
- Experience with ERP systems
