Our goal has always been to serve our members to the best of our abilities and provide them with the best value for their money. Every day, we continually strive to improve our level of service by keeping our focus on our members.
In order to do this, we have to hire and retain loyal, team-oriented employees who have genuine care and concern for our members and conduct themselves with integrity and professionalism. That's why we offer competitive pay, excellent benefits, and a positive work culture. We truly respect each other and actively encourage diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI). A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A CONSUMER LOAN OFFICER
As a Consumer Loan Officer, your first priority is to provide excellent customer service to credit union members as you assist them with the consumer lending process. You explain the ins and outs of loans and take applications over the phone, web, and in-person. To you, our members are more than "credit scores," and you coach them through the process of finding the right loan options and improving their creditworthiness. You nurture relationships built on trust with borrowers and future borrowers alike. Motivated to provide the best possible customer service, you maintain a working knowledge of the market conditions and regulations that affect lending activities.
With a primary focus on auto loans, you manage the loan pipeline and approval process. You utilize the auto-decision tool for completed applications and submit applications that are not auto-approved or above your lending authority for manual decisions. Using your exceptional problem-solving skills, you efficiently resolve complaints and data conflicts. You work closely with other credit union departments such as Loan Servicing and Member Solutions as well as outside vendors such as dealerships, insurance companies, and other financial institutions. Your attention to detail and friendly demeanor help to make the loan process a positive experience for all involved. You feel good about helping both our credit union and our members thrive!
