This exempt position earns a competitive minimum starting annual pay, based on experience of $79k. Programmer II
What You'll Do
As a Programmer II, you'll take the lead on technical programming projects and provide advanced programming support. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Designing technological workflows and collaborating with team members on Core Technology programming projects.
- Maintaining, configuring, and customizing software to meet evolving business needs.
- Developing customized software applications and overseeing their implementation.
- Troubleshooting application issues, providing user support, and resolving escalated programming problems.
- Creating detailed programming documentation, coding guides, and end-user instructions.
- Developing reports and forms to enhance operational efficiency.
- Assisting with network, computer, and online support, including after-hours assistance.
- Evaluating software specifications for potential acquisitions.
- Staying current with programming languages, tools, and technologies.
What You'll Bring
We're looking for someone with a strong programming background, leadership ability, and a passion for technology. The ideal candidate will have:
Essential Skills
- Advanced knowledge of application programming languages and methodologies.
- Proficiency with the Symitar core system, including PowerOn, SymPDF, Synergy, and OpCon.
- Solid understanding of credit union products, services, policies, and regulations.
- Demonstrated leadership and project management skills.
- Strong problem-solving, mathematical, and software skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- The ability to manage multiple deadlines and maintain emotional control under pressure.
Preferred Experience and Education
- Bachelor's degree in application systems, information technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Completion of PowerOn 101, 102, and 103 courses.
- Six or more years of application programming experience within the Symitar core system.
- Ten or more years of experience in any capacity in the credit union industry (preferred).
- Position has the ability to work hybrid, with the expectation of a minimum of 3 days onsite per week.
