What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Group Leader position at Dow Inc.?
Supervises daily activities of administrative, technical and operational employees. Sets priorities for the team to ensure task completion. Shares responsibility and accountability for the plant assets, personnel and achievement of the plant related business goals. As a leader, fosters a work environment with a high level of integrity and strong customer and safety focus that embraces inclusion and diversity, innovation and sustainability, continuous improvement and empowerment. Serves as Reliability steward to ensure sustained reliability improvement through utilization of proven reliability practices and techniques. Focuses on those opportunities that over a long-term period or historically have impacted the plant’s measured asset capability and the opportunities identified as "high-risk" in risk assessments, reliability models, and other evaluations.
Responsibilities / Duties:
Fosters EH&S engagement, particularly in the field and in the areas of personal safety and compliance.
A clear focus will exist on creating a Highly Reliable Organizational culture and the elimination of unplanned events by implementing reliability and maintenance services and solutions.
Completes the requirements of the Performance Management Process for Maintenance direct reports which is leveraged to support meaningful opportunities for leader/employee engagement. This includes coaching and career development.
Implements and provides on-going support of the Maintenance Procedure Use Policy at the facility.
Creates Equipment Reliability Strategies based upon Top Opportunity List, Critical Equipment List, and identified plant/business needs.
Validates ERS implementation and closes gaps to improve/sustain reliability improvement.
Identifies and resolve Top Reliability Opportunities and decrease equipment failure losses and leverages those solutions both into and out of the facility. Ensures consistency in the Reliability Opportunity List process.
Develops and implement the Facility Reliability Strategy and provides input into the Business Reliability Strategy.
Manages site annual Turnarounds (pit-stops).
Facilitates the annual maintenance budget setting process.
Qualifications:
A minimum of a bachelor's degree or relevant military experience at or above a U.S. E6 ranking or Canadian Petty Officer 2nd Class or Sergeant
A minimum of 6 years of maintenance, engineering, manufacturing or related experience
Demonstrated leadership abilities (leading a project or initiative, mentoring, etc.)
A minimum requirement for this U.S. based position is the ability to work legally in the United States. No visa sponsorship/support is available for this position, including for any type of U.S. permanent residency (green card) process
Preferred skills:
Mechanical Engineering degree

Salary : $95,000 - $169,000
