The Site Logistics Technologist Lead serves a vital combination of roles including Technical Advisor, Activity Coordinator, Gatekeeper, and ODMS Coordinator to support WVO Site Logistics. Utilizes process knowledge, technical expertise, and operations experience to assist, teach and coach plant personnel. Focuses on troubleshooting process or equipment issues, improving process performance, and increasing plant reliability. Requires advanced skills and expertise in a range of processes, procedures, and systems, and/or specialized technical expertise within an analytical/scientific method or operational process to perform a broad range of complex work assignments. Works with site logistics personnel and expertise centers to coordinate, prioritize and schedule site logistics activities. Ensures that value added, and complete service requests are generated. Understands the site logistics strategy, budget, business objectives, value added criteria and day to day operations. Enables seamless integration between site logistics and service providers. Supports the business in maintaining the Operations Discipline Management System (ODMS) and maximizing value from ODMS use in the department. May act as a working team lead, providing subject matter guidance and coordinating work of others.
In this role, you will require advanced level of skills and expertise in administrative, data organization, and coordination processes, procedures, and associated systems or specialized technical expertise with analytical/scientific methods or operational processes. You should be able to perform a broad range of complex assignments and understand how teams coordinate efforts and resources to achieve organizational objectives. You will need to have the ability to evaluate and explain unusual and/or complex information use tact and diplomacy when communicating with others.
It is your responsibility to be able to gather and analyze data to identify and resolve unique, complex, or unusual problems. You will be required to provide subject matter guidance to less experienced team members and serve as a specialist or lead for the team with no formal supervisory responsibilities. Your performance impacts your own team and other teams with closely related work activities. You are expected to suggest improvements to existing processes and solutions to improve overall team efficiency.
Responsibilities – Duties, projects, tasks, and activities you would be responsible for in this role
Act as a technical/process subject matter resource in the assigned operational area.
Enhance front line skills and knowledge of plant personnel through coaching on processes, equipment, and reliability principles.
Coach and teach operators/technicians during troubleshooting activities and partner with operations team members in the field.
Perform or assist in root cause or failure analysis and communicate results for learning purposes.
Develop and maintain plant process training material and qualification assessments.
Maintain “on call” status for unplanned events and emergencies.
Engage in turnaround scope definition, preparation, and execution.
Coach others on effective logbook use, focusing on quality and appropriate note type/stamp utilization.
Create, review, modify, and approve operational procedures to ensure sound operating discipline.
Lead overall ODMS "maintain" efforts and coordinate with other ODMS support roles.
Collect and review process data for improvement and corrective actions.
Work with plant maintenance and site logistics resources to ensure compliance activities are scheduled and completed.
Participates in development/monitoring of the site logistics budget and applies status/forecast as an input to manage site logistics work in the facility
Qualifications
4+ years of experience in site logistics, warehousing, or other related experience

A minimum requirement for this U.S. based position is the ability to work legally in the United States. No visa sponsorship/support is available for this position, including for any type of U.S. permanent residency (green card) process
Must meet one of the following:
An associate degree or 3 years or more of relevant military training/experience
A high school diploma or GED equivalent AND 8+ years of relevant work experience

This role does involve elevated work greater than or equal to four feet above the ground. Must be able to wear and use personal protective equipment (PPE), including harnesses with a total weight capacity of 300lbs.

Ability to safely work in a plant environment, meet physical demands, work at elevated heights, and comfortably use PPE and safety equipment. Must be familiar with or open to training on proper equipment usage.
