THE HOURS: Monday – Friday 7:30AM TO 4PM.

The Position

We are seeking a reliable and hardworking housekeeper to join our team in a senior living community. The Housekeeper will be responsible for ensuring that all areas of the facility are maintained in a clean, safe, and sanitary condition. The ideal candidate should have a keen eye for detail, excellent communication skills, and a passion for working with seniors.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred but not required
• Previous housekeeping experience preferred, preferably in a senior living or healthcare environment
• Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, proper storage, and disposal methods
• Ability to communicate effectively with residents, family members, and staff
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and push and pull equipment carts weighing up to 100 pounds
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays
• Must have dependable transportation
  
  

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain resident rooms, common areas, and administrative offices in accordance with established cleaning procedures
• Dust, vacuum, mop, sweep, and sanitize floors, carpets, and furniture
• Clean and disinfect all surfaces including countertops, tables, and chairs
• Stock and maintain cleaning supplies, notify supervisor when supplies need to be reordered
• Maintain laundry rooms, including washing, folding, and distributing linens and towels
• Report any maintenance or repair needs to supervisor
• Observe and report any changes in residents' physical or emotional conditions to appropriate personnel
• Communicate effectively with residents, family members, and staff members
  
  

Physical Demands

• This position requires standing, walking, bending, and stooping for extended periods of time. The Housekeeper must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and push and pull equipment carts weighing up to 100 pounds.
• Working Conditions: The Housekeeper will work in senior living environment and must be comfortable working around residents, staff, and visitors. The Housekeeper may be exposed to cleaning chemicals, dust, and other allergens.
