About You and this Role
Role will cover all of PSL which includes PSL North (B-3702) PSL South (B-9365) and all rail loading structures that support Poly Blocks within Plant B.
Creates job packages from the work order scope which contains all of the information regarding required labor material and services to ensure safe, effective and efficient execution of the work. Ensures work activities are carried out safely in an effective and efficient way. Manages productivity of the team that performs the task. Requires broadened technical skills in analytical/scientific methods or operational processes to perform a defined array of activities. May act as an informal resource for team members with less experience.
Responsibilities
- Uses feedback from the person doing the work to optimize the work plans.
- Reviews work orders for technical completeness and returns work orders to gatekeeper, if not complete.
- Carries out field checks, when needed.
- Prepares job package and inputs plan into SAP indicating the required resources, materials, and services.
- Maintain and manage a backlog in line with operations expectations
- Use Dow's Global Maintenance Work Process to ensure an efficient use of resources for executing work
- Conduct morning tailgates with maintenance team prior to work starting
- Assists in allocation of resources for resource leveraging.
- Initiates the work permit procedure.
- Reports the progress of the daily work to enable adjustments to the work schedule when needed. Reviews work status with service providers and originators and adjusts schedule as required.
- Reassigns person scheduled to perform work to the next job, in the event the equipment is not prepared for maintenance on originally assigned job.
- Confirms that all scheduled job sequences, work and paperwork for the job have all been completed. Closes work order.
- Returns equipment to operations.
- Performs the role of shift procedure use focal point for maintenance activity.
- For Priority Work, serves as a planner and follows the planner responsibilities.
- Coaches crafts persons when completed procedures/checklists/equipment repair forms are not filled out correctly.
- Conducts field audits to assure procedures are being used according to the local Maintenance Procedure Use Policy.
Required Qualifications
- A minimum of a High School Diploma or GED is required.
- 5 or more years of industrial maintenance or operations experience.
- Overtime required after-hours (nights, weekends and holidays), depending on work to be done.
- Must be willing to work weekends, and holidays, if required.
- Must have a current, valid US driver’s license.
- A minimum requirement for this U.S. based position is the ability to work legally in the United States. No visa sponsorship/support is available for this position, including for any type of U.S. permanent residency (green card) process.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a Planner role.
- Previous experience in WAC role.
- Craft experience.
- Working knowledge of SAP and Primavera.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and Outlook.
Your Skills
- Maintenance Management: Full proficiency in a range of technical, operational, or analytical/scientific processes and procedures through job-related training and considerable on-the-job experience.
- Strategic Planning: Assisting in the allocation of resources for resource leveraging and managing the productivity of the team performing the tasks.
- Communication: Reporting the progress of daily work, reviewing work status with service providers and originators, and adjusting schedules as required.
- Prioritization: Reviewing job packages, initiating work permit procedures, confirming that all scheduled job sequences and paperwork are completed, and conducting field audits to ensure procedures are followed.
- Employee Coaching: Acting as an informal resource for team members with less experience and coaching crafts persons when procedures/checklists/equipment repair forms are not filled out correctly.

- No relocation assistance is available for this position.
Physical Requirements
- This role does involve elevated work greater than or equal to four feet above the ground. Must be able to wear and use personal protective equipment (PPE), including harnesses with a total weight capacity of 300lbs.
