JOB DESCRIPTION
Position: Advancement Alumni Relations Manager
Department: Advancement
Reports To: Director of Advancement
FLSA: PT – Non-exempt
Position purpose:
The Advancement Alumni Relations Manager executes strategies to grow an active alumni community eager to donate time, treasure and talent to foster a strong alumni network that supports Dowling Catholic’s mission and goals.
- Develop and implement strategies to engage alumni through various channels, including events, social media, and email.
- Collaborate with Marketing and Communications Manager on alumni-focused social media accounts, communicating with alumni over all multiple platforms to grow alumni engagement with the school; soliciting alumni for news to share.
- Plan, organize, and execute alumni events, such as reunions, Athletic Hall of Fame & Distinguished Alumni/Young Alumni Award Recognition events and other social gatherings.
- Cultivate and maintain relationships with alumni, acting as a point of contact for inquiries, extend invitations to attend and volunteer at DCHS events.
- Assist with advancement fundraising events and initiatives
Hiring/Education Requirements
· Bachelor’s Degree preferred
· DCHS and/or other alumni relations experience a plus
· Ability to manage multiple priorities and competing deadlines plus maintain an attention to detail
· Proven experience utilizing analytical and strong problem-solving skills
· Ability to collaborate across teams with strong interpersonal skills
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: From $24.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 per week
